In Greek mythology, Orpheus journeys into the underworld to reclaim his beloved Eurydice, only to lose her when he looks back before reaching the world of the living. This post offers a modern take on his tragic tale, reimagining the themes of love, temptation, and regret in a contemporary setting. Even in the modern world, some losses cannot be undone... and some rules are meant to be obeyed.
The most valuable thing I owned wasn't my Aston Martin or the penthouse with its floor-to-ceiling windows. It was an old, hand-stitched leather notebook. Within its worn pages lived every ballad I'd ever written, music born from the deepest corners of my heart.
My name is Blake and I'm the composer of those melodies. Those ballads transformed my life. Their haunting melodies and heartfelt lyrics propelled me from obscurity to stardom almost overnight, earning me fame beyond anything I had ever imagined. The success brought plenty of attention, especially from women who fell in love with the man behind the music. Unfortunately for them, I was gay, and until recently, I had been in a happy, committed relationship.
Theo was my other half. If I was the kite soaring high above the clouds, he was the one who kept me grounded, never letting the wind carry me too far. He was a man of quiet grace and loud laughter, the kind of person who could make a crowded room feel intimate just by leaning in to whisper a joke. I remember how his wide, beautiful eyes making me feel woozy whenever I gazed into them. He was an adonis, lithe and athletic, and he made my toes curl and lungs scream in bed. He was the rhythm that kept my heart beat steady.
Then, in the span of a single day, the rhythm stopped. The doctors spoke using words like 'idiopathic' and 'unexplained,' it might as well have been a foreign language to me but I didn't need a translation to understand what was going on: Theo is dead. There was no lingering illness to blame, no sudden trauma to point toward. He was there one moment, gone the next.
***********************
"Almost 225," I grunted, the iron bar trembling in my grip. I wasn't chasing for gains, I was chasing a level of exhaustion that my brain would simply shut off. I wanted the pain to go away.
Grief is a slow-moving tide, but physical exertion is a sprint, and for two hours a day, I convinced myself that if I just moved fast enough, the tide would never catch up to me.
The gym catered to gays and was filled with noise and sweat, a place where the rhythmic thumping of treadmills drowned out the silence of our empty apartment. But we all know what it truly is, a cruising spot to meet drool-worthy guys.
I was mid-rep on my final set, the iron screaming against the pins of the machine, when a familiar figure flickered across the periphery of my vision. It was a specific slope of a shoulder and a familiar, effortless stride. For a split second, I thought I was staring at the spitting image of Theo.
My grip faltered and the barbell nearly crashed onto my chest as I instinctively turned my head to get a better look. I barely managed to wrestle the weight back into the rack and by the time I stood up and spun around, he had already vanished around the corner.
I sprinted through the gym as if the wind itself were carrying me. By the time I reached the corner, he had disappeared. I searched every aisle, but all I saw were sweaty men grunting through their workouts, the constant rattle of iron, and rows upon rows of weight machines.
The chill of the air-conditioned gym settled over my sweat-slicked skin, sending a shiver through me. Once again, Theo was gone.
Then my eyes landed on the locker room. It had to be the only place he could have disappeared to. I broke into a sprint, nearly colliding with another gym-goer on my way inside. He shot me an irritated scowl, but I barely noticed. My eyes darted from aisle to aisle, scanning the rows of lockers before hurrying deeper into the changing area. I searched every corner until I reached the shower room.
And there he was.
I caught a glimpse of the back of his head as he disappeared into the shower. I hurried after him, only to find the glass fogged with steam. Through the frosted pane, I could just make out the silhouette of a man whose build was uncannily like Theo's.
I stopped. This is insane. What the fuck am I doing? But both love and grief do not abide by the rules of sanity.
Taking a steadying breath, I pulled out my phone and pretended to answer a call. Raising my voice just enough for everyone in the shower room to hear, "This is Blake, your favorite heartbreaker and song writer." I sounded so fucking stupid but I didn't care.
I announced that I had just broken up with my boyfriend and I'm looking for someone new. "I want a boy toy I can play with. Blond hair, deep blue eyes. The kind of guy who's always chasing the next adventure, never afraid to try something new, the kind who grabs life by the balls and refuses to let go."
If the man behind the glass was Theo, I prayed he'd recognize himself in my words.
Silence.
But I'm not the kind of person who gives up. I slipped into the shower beside him, my mind racing as I searched for the right words. Each shower stall was separated by panels of frosted glass, obscuring every detail except the outline of the person beyond. Through the veil of steam, I watched his silhouette move beneath the falling water. The way he moved was unmistakably Theo's. For a moment, all I could hear was the steady hiss of water cascading over the tiles.
Finally, I broke the silence. "You know that phone conversation was completely made up."
To my relief, the man let out a hearty laugh. "Yeah," he said with a slight echo expected in a confined space, partially drowned by the cascading water. "I figured."
My heart jumped into my throat.
"Well, since you've already introduced yourself as the resident heartbreaker and you are in need of more than a warm body," the man said, his voice vibrating through the frosted glass, "I suppose I should tell you that my 'boy toy' application is currently under review."
It had the same warmth and tone as Theo’s. Melodic. Masculine. My chest tightened. I could hardly breathe as I leaned closer to the glass, my voice dropping an octave, sliding into the flirtatious cadence that had charmed a thousand fans.
"Is that so? I'm a very demanding employer," I murmured, letting a small, knowing smile touch my lips. "I demand a lot of attention, and I expect my employees to work well into the night. They'd better be talented, have plenty of stamina, and come fully equipped with the right tools. Only then can we make beautiful music together. Tell me, are you up for the job?"
"I've always been a bit of an overachiever," the man replied, his voice dropping into a low, playful rumble that vibrated against the glass wall. "As for the stamina and talent, consider my resume fully vetted. And as for tools..."
There was a soft, wet sound of a foot shifting on the drain, followed by a sudden, heavy pressure against the frosted glass. Through the translucent pane, the blur of his silhouette sharpened as he pressed himself firmly against the partition. I could see the thick, rigid length of his cock was crushed against the glass, the skin stretched tight, mapping out every vein and pulse. Below, his heavy, low-slung testicles were pressed flat against the surface, large plums ripe with cum.
I nearly swooned at the sight. I wasn't sure if it was the spitting image of my late boyfriend's perfect package or the sheer boldness of the gesture caught me off guard.
"Well," I laughed over the roar of the shower, "considering the credentials you've just presented, I say you might exceed expectations.”
The pressure against the glass shifted slightly as he chuckled. "However, I do come with a set of specific requirements. I don't just do 'standard' shifts. I have a few... particular tastes. Specialized interests, if you will." He paused, and I could almost hear the smirk in his voice. "I don't know, I suspect my fetish might be a bit too much for you."
The challenge ignited something inside me. The thought of being not adventurous enough or too ordinary was unacceptable. I know how ridiculous I was being but I didn't care. Besides, I was so close to seeing Theo again, so close to looking into those mesmerizing eyes once more. In that moment, I would have said almost anything for the chance to see them again.
"Try me," I replied, my voice steady despite the erratic drumming of my heart.
The man didn't hesitate. His voice lost some of its playful lightness and took on raw, primal edge. "I don't do vanilla. I’m into the heavy stuff. Serious ball busting, late nights at the kind of sex clubs where you leave your inhibitions at the door, and enough cum play to keep the sheets soaked for a week. I'm the man in the dark room that everyone watches out for. It’s not for the faint of heart, and most guys can't actually handle the intensity."
For the first time, I felt flicker of hesitation. I have my own fetishes that I share with Theo even some playful ball busting, but this sounded like a different league of intensity. Yet, as I looked at the blurred silhouette of his anatomy pressed against the glass, the reluctance vanished. I would have walked through fire to feel every familiar nook and crevice of his cock enter me again.
"Perfect," I grinned, barely able to control my enthusiasm. "That sounds exactly like my kind of fun." The adrenaline was humming through my veins now. I wanted to seal the deal immediately. "There's a new spot downtown: The Devil Wears Nada. High-end, velvet curtains, very curated. Meet me there tomorrow at ten?"
There was a pause, the sound of water shifting as he stepped back from the glass. His voice returned, but the playful rumble had been replaced by cooler, more decisive tone. "Nada is too tame. People pretending to be edgy while sipping champagne. It's a playground for amateurs. If you want the real thing, you go to The Underworld. It’s an old warehouse on the docks—no velvet curtains, no curated guest lists, and definitely no champagne. Just concrete, dim lights, burning passion, and thrill-seekers."
The Underworld was a place where the word 'shady' felt like an understatement. It was infamous for the absolute lack of boundaries. It was the kind of place where the activities as extreme as it gets, catering to the sort of desires that were too loud or too messy to even mention in public. The paparazzi would make a killing if they saw me anywhere near that shit hole. I hesitated a moment too long; he must have sensed my reluctance.
Having second thoughts, heartbreaker?" he teased. "It's alright. Most people hesitate the first time. But let's be honest, Underworld is a rite of passage for anyone searching for the things the world has denied them. In the end, everyone eventually find their way there."
He paused, letting the words linger.
"You've spent your whole life singing about love, desire, and passion. Maybe it's time you stopped singing about it and actually live it."
His words tugged at my heart strings. He was right. Theo is no longer part of this world, but perhaps with this man, I may find him in the Underworld.
"Deal," I said, the word vibrating with a mixture of desperation and sudden elation. "The Underworld it is."
The sound of the water shut off with a sudden, metallic thud, leaving a heavy, ringing silence in the tiled space. I waited, expecting him to slide the frosted door open, to reveal the face that had haunted my dreams for months. Instead, I heard his voice, clearer and closer now, devoid of any playfulness or flirtation that characterized in earlier.
"One more thing, Blake. I operate on a very strict code of discretion. My life, my identity, and my business outside those walls are separate. We can meet in the Underworld, but until then, until I'm comfortable with you, we are strangers. No names, no histories, and absolutely no trailing shadows. If you can handle not being the center of attention for a few hours we have a deal. If you even glance at me for a moment, I'm gone. Clear?"
The abrupt shift in his tone made me uneasy. One second we were giddy adolescence experiencing first love, and the next, a wall of ice between us. In the world of the famous, privacy is paramount and I knew the feeling of being hunted by cameras. But this was an extreme demand, practically paranoia. But I was so close.
"Clear," I stated, the word feeling small in the vast, echoing shower room. "No names, no glances, no footprints until then."
“Good. Go to Stall 8, I'll meet you there." He stepped out of the stall and wrapped the towel around his waist. I fought every urge to open the door. I waited for the slap of his sandals to disappear into the distance before I got out.
As I dried myself off, I found myself lost in thought. Something about the situation felt unsettling. But I refused to let this opportunity slip through my fingers and I was willing to go anywhere to see him. We could have met in hell for all I care.
*******************************
The Underworld lived up to its reputation. As I stepped off the curb and into the maw of the warehouse, I could feel the rush rush of air and the scent it carried. The odor of sweat, tobacco, and old pennies was overwhelming. It was exactly as I had imagined—a seedy, sprawling space, populated by men either clad in black leather, fish net, or wearing nothing at all. Beautiful faces, sculpted bodies, and large cocks surrounded me. But beauty is only skin deep, and beneath the polished surface, darkness waited with a patient smile.
I had stripped everything that would associate me with "Blake." I wanted to be invisible. No designer labels, no tailored cuts. I donned an oversized gray hoodie and a pair of worn-in jeans, the hood pulled low to shield my profile.
Navigating the place felt like stumbling through a fever dream. The floors clung to my shoes, sticky with God knows what. At the center of the warehouse, the dance floor churned with bodies packed so tightly they looked like sardines crammed into a tin. The music was so deafening that I could feel the bass rattling my jaw and vibrating in my chest. Lowering my head, I pushed through the sea of people toward the bathrooms.
The bathroom was revolting. Flickering fluorescent lights exposed cracked tiles, overflowing trash bins, and floors slick with grime. The sour stench hanging in the air made my stomach tighten, but I forced myself onward. I passed one stall after another until I finally stopped in front of Stall 8. My heart sank when I saw it was empty.
I stood there, staring at the void of the empty stall. I felt so small, so stupid. The man at the gym fucked with me and I fell for it. The crushing weight of Theo's absence came rushing back, my eyes stinging as tears began to form. I was embarrassed beyond all measure. Here I was, grieving the love of my life in the grimy restroom of a seedy sex warehouse.
"You look like you're about to have a breakdown. You must be looking for your blind date?" a voice drawled from behind me.
Startled, I jumped and spun around to see a man clad in leather leaning against the sink, with an expression of amusement. He looked at my devastated expression, then at the empty stall, and let out a condescending chuckle.
"Wrong bathroom," the man said with a smirk. He pointed a gloved finger toward the corridor behind me. "If you’re looking for a rendezvous in Stall 8, you don't want the bathroom, you want 'The Bathroom.' Capital 'B.' Really stupid name if you ask me, I told the owner so. It's right around the corner, through the black curtain on your left. If you see a dark corridor with an EXIT sign at the end, you've gone too far.”
My heart pounded in my chest as I made my way out. "You're welcome!" the man said as the door swung behind me.
I hurried toward the black velvet curtains that draped over a narrow doorway. As I pushed through, the atmosphere shifted instantly. The noise of the main warehouse didn't completely vanish but it was eerily quiet. I made my way to stall 8 when I realized there was someone in it.
"Took you long enough," the familiar voice said, sounding both relieved and irritated. "Now get into Stall 7.”
I froze, my hand hovering over the door of Stall 7. It didn’t make sense, how are we supposed to connect if we were separated by a green, metal partition? Although the name was stupid, I could see why it was named the "Bathroom." It really did resemble a bathroom stall sans the toilet. Just a small metal sink and paper towels. I stepped into the narrow space of Stall 7 and closed the door.
Then, I saw it. At waist-height in the green wall was a circular opening. A glory hole. Pushing through the opening was the same massive, heavy cock I had seen at the gym. It was a masterpiece of anatomy—thick, pulsing, and unapologetically dominant, the head weeping a single, clear bead of anticipation. The skin was stretched tight, the veins tracing a roadmap of arousal that seemed to vibrate with the bass of the warehouse.
"Suck it," he commanded. The voice was a low-frequency vibration that seemed to travel through the metal partition and settle right in my gut.
I didn't hesitate. I pounced upon him; I was a hungry lion and that beautiful slab of man meat was a gazelle. I closed my lips, sealing around that heavy, pulsing head and took him in. My throat stretched to accommodate the sheer girth of him. The salt of his precum and heat of his skin overloading my senses. My head bobbed as my tongue swirled around the corona. I altered my suction, the pressure, switching to my cheeks before swallowing back deep in my throat. I could feel his warmth on the other side.
Just as I felt the rhythmic tension in his shaft reach a breaking point, just as the tremors of an impending release began to ripple through the muscle, he jerked back with a sudden, sharp precision. The void left behind was cold, and for a second, I was left breathless and craving, my lips still tingling from the heat of him. The suddenness of the withdrawal felt like a cliff-edge drop.
"Not yet," his voice rasped, echoing strangely through the metal partition. "I told you I don't do vanilla. I want the other part of the contract now. Ball bust me, Blake."
A flash of annoyance flickered through me. I had been so close to that victory, so close to the visceral satisfaction of his climax. But then I remembered the gym—the warnings about intensity and the "particular tastes" he demanded. My irritation softened into a curious, daring heat as I did agree to participate. He had set the rules, and if I wanted to find whatever ghost of Theo lived within this man, I had to play the game.
Since I couldn't see his face, I had to rely on the map of his anatomy. He had slid his length back through the opening, the heavy weight of his scrotum now resting just beneath the rim of the hole. I reached out, my fingers finding the soft, textured skin of his balls. I started with a playful tap, a gentle tease
Through the metal partition, I heard a sharp, hitching breath. I didn't stop. I began to alternate the intensity, treating his anatomy like a percussion instrument. One moment, it was a gentle, affectionate pat; the next, I let my fingers snap with a sudden, focused force. The contrast excited him as he never knew what was next. I could see precum dripping from the tip of his urethra. I gobbled it up without hesitation.
He let out a low, guttural moan that vibrated through the wall, a sound that was half-protest and half-pleasure. "That's it," he rasped, his voice sounding strained, as if he were fighting to keep his composure. Each time I increased the force, the sound of his breathing grew more erratic. I could feel the heat of his body, his entire frame shuddering with every calculated strike.
The rhythmic play shifted into something more aggressive. I wasn’t sure if it was the lingering frustration of being teased or the intoxicating power of hearing him unravel, but I leaned into the violence of it. My strikes became fiercer, heavier, the skin of his scrotum flushing a deep, angry crimson under the onslaught. With every snap of my fingers, I could feel the tissues reacting, the blood rushing to the surface and engorging the area. His balls grew heavy and swollen, expanding against the rim of the hole until they were tight, tender drums of heat.
The man’s reactions shifted from guttural moans to sharp, breathless gasps. He was vibrating against the partition, his breathing coming in ragged, desperate hitches that sounded like he was drowning in his own pleasure. The more tender they became, the more he seemed to crave the pressure. I could see the skin stretching, the surface becoming glossed and sensitive, reacting to the slightest touch with an intensity that bordered on agony. The more he enjoyed it, the more precum he produced and I was lapping it up like a child with an ice cream cone. He was leaking like a faucet.
"God... Blake..." he groaned, stripped of all its previous confidence. "Don't stop now," he breathed, his voice cracking with a raw, jagged edge. "But the fingers aren't enough. I need more. I need the weight of you." There was a pause, the sound of him shifting against the metal, and then he delivered the demand that made my heart skip. "Kick them. Use your foot, Blake. Give me everything you've got."
I froze, my hand still resting on the engorged heat of him. "Kick?" I whispered, the word feeling absurd in the dim light of the "Bathroom." I had dabbled in the rougher side of pleasure with Theo, but this was a leap into the deep end. The idea of causing actual, blunt-force trauma to someone, even someone who was practically begging for it, triggered a reflexive hesitation. I looked down at my worn-in sneakers, the heavy rubber soles feeling suddenly like weapons.
"Not with the shoes," he corrected, sensing my reluctance. "Take them off. I want the skin of your foot, the arch, the heel. No buffers. Just you and me."
I slid my sneakers off, the rubber soles clicking softly against the floor. Unlike the filth of the outer restroom, the "Bathroom" was surprisingly pristine, the tiles bleached a sterile white that glowed under the dim lights. The coolness of the floor against my bare soles grounded me, providing a stark contrast to the feverish heat radiating from the man behind the partition. With the buffer of the rubber gone, I felt a sudden, visceral connection to the act. I shifted my weight, planting my left foot for balance and drawing my right leg back, the arch of my foot tensing in anticipation.
The first strike wasn't a full blow, but a concentrated press of my heel, driving into the swollen heat of his scrotum. He let out a moan so intimate that it made me wet my pants a little with precum. Encouraged by the raw sound, I began to kick in earnest. I didn't use the toe; I used the blunt, heavy force of my heel and the ball of my foot, delivering a rhythmic, punishing sequence of blows. Each impact sent a jolt through the metal partition, the same vibration that had once pulsed through Theo's chest when we laughed together, now transformed into a language of shared, exquisite pain.
As the assault continued, his anatomy reacted with a terrifying, beautiful intensity. The balls didn't just swell; they engorged, the skin stretching to its absolute limit as blood flooded the area. They became two heavy, shimmering spheres of crimson heat, expanding until they were crushed tight against the rim of the glory hole. They looked like overripe fruit, the veins tracing a frantic, violet map across the surface. The more I hammered into them, the more they seemed to grow, becoming dense and turgid, reacting to the blunt force by inflating further, filling every available millimeter of the opening.
The rhythm of the strikes wasn't enough; I wanted a level of crushing force that would leave him breathless. I shifted my position, sliding my frame backward until my shoulder blades and spine were locked firmly against the cold metal wall between Stall 6 and 7. This new leverage changed everything. With my back as an anchor, I didn't have to worry about balance or gravity. I braced myself and drove my heel downward with a sudden, crashing weight, pinning his engorged testicles against the bottom ledge of the glory hole.
The impact was visceral. I could feel the dense, turgid mass of him compressing under the same weight I used to lean into a piano keyboard during a particularly emotional crescendo. I was wrote the ballad and his groans, my music. By maintaining the pressure, I could feel the slow, agonizing stretch of the skin and the frantic pulse of his blood trying to escape the crush. He let out a sound that wasn't a moan or a scream, but a strangled, high-pitched wheeze that vibrated through the very wall I was leaning on. It was the sound of a man being completely undone, his composure shattered by a force he had explicitly asked for.
"Yes... just like that..." he gasped, his voice now a shredded whisper. "Crush them... break me open, Blake.”
The exertion of the act began to burn through me. My oversized hoodie suffocating, trapping the sweat and the adrenaline against my skin. With a ragged breath, I took it off. Shortly after came the jeans, then everything else, until I stood completely naked in the dim glow of Stall 7. Being stripped bare in this own strange way felt like an offering; I wanted no barriers between my body and the man on the other side of the wall.
The man didn't stop his demands. If anything he was more greedy for pain. "More," he groaned. I could feel the turgid mass of his balls fighting against the rim of the hole, pulsing with a life of their own, demanding a pressure that bordered on the unbearable. "Give me more, Blake. Don't hold back. Give me the weight of everything you're feeling." He was asking for the grief, the anger, and the desperate longing I’d been carrying since Theo’s heart stopped. He wanted the violence of my sorrow translated into physical force.
I finally stopped, my leg trembling from the effort and my breath coming in shallow, jagged heaves. I stepped back to rest for a minute. Through the circular opening, his anatomy remained a testament to the assault: engorged, crimson, and pulsing with a slow, heavy throb. His balls had outlasted the beating, surviving the brunt of my grief-fueled force without yielding, though they hung heavy and swollen against the metal rim, leaking a steady stream of arousal that painted the edge of the glory hole.
A long, shuddering silence followed, broken only by the distant, muffled yet somehow shrill music of the warehouse dance floor. Then, his voice returned, though it was stripped of its earlier dominance, replaced by a raw, breathless gratitude. "Thank you," he rasped, the words vibrating through the partition. "God... thank you, Blake."
"My turn now," he said, the shift in his voice signaling a sudden, predatory reversal of roles.
I froze, my heart pounded in my chest. The shock of the statement sent a jolt of alarm through me. I had spent the last hour unloading my grief and aggression onto him, and the sudden prospect of being the one being busted felt like stepping off a ledge into a dark void. I hesitated, my bare skin prickling. I felt like an exposed nerve.
He must have heard my breath hitch, because a low, teasing chuckle vibrated through the metal. "What's the matter, heartbreaker? Suddenly feeling a bit too vanilla?" His tone was a velvet trap, playful yet insistent. “This was only half the fun. Half of the symphony of pain was mine, the other is yours. And If you walk away now, Blake, you’ll never see my face." His voice was cold as ice. "I don't give second chances to those who back out. Step forward, or spend the rest of your life wondering what color my eyes actually are."
The ultimatum hit me with the force of a physical blow. The risk of the unknown was suddenly eclipsed by the terror of returning to a silent apartment. The desperation that had driven me to a seedy warehouse on the docks surged again, drowning out my instinct for self-preservation. I needed him.
"I'm not flinching," I replied, though my voice trembled. I stepped toward the wall, my naked body feeling fragile and small against the cold, industrial green of the partition.
"Step forward," he commanded, and I obeyed, pressing my hips against the cold metal of the partition.
As I shifted, my own anatomy reacted to the tension and the proximity of the man on the other side. I wasn't as legendary as Theo had been but my cock package was still sizable. My cock was thick and heavy, a solid, pulsing weight that strained against the air, the head weeping a slow, viscous trail of arousal that smeared against the green paint of the stall. Below, my balls were full and heavy, hanging with a satisfying, low-slung weight that mirrored the intensity of the man I was chasing. They were a generous, sizable pair, skin taut and warm, pulsing in synchronization with the frantic drumming of my heart. I felt substantial, a mirror image of the desire he had just projected onto me, and as I pushed my pelvis forward, I felt the blunt, honest reality of my own arousal meeting the cold boundary of the glory hole.
"There we go," he murmured, his voice sounding closer, as if he were leaning his forehead against the other side of the wall. "Sizable. Heavy. You’re not just a pretty face and a sad song, are you, Blake?"
The first touch was a ghost of a gesture, a light, playful tapping. I stiffened, my breath catching in my throat; the vulnerability of the position was overwhelming. I was an exposed nerve, my most sensitive parts pinned against a metal void, at the mercy of a stranger I had just met. For a few seconds, the discomfort was a sharp, jagged edge, a reminder of where I was.
But as the tapping continued, the discomfort evolved, transforming into a humming anticipation. I leaned into the wall, my hips searching for the source of the touch. I closed my eyes and let the mental image of Theo flood my vision. I felt Theo’s hands, the way he used to hold me, his beating heart clashing against the shrill music of the sex club. I was the kite soaring above the clouds. He was my anchor who kept me grounded, I told myself. Theo could never truly hurt me. All I was feeling was him. The man on the other side ceased to be a stranger and became a vessel for a memory, and suddenly, the fear dissolved into a desperate, starving need.
"You're relaxing," the man noted, his voice a low, appreciative rumble.
"Don't stop," I whispered, my voice cracking as I pressed my pelvis harder against the metal. "Go harder. Give me everything." I wanted the blunt force, the crushing weight, the kind of intensity. I wanted to feel the same violent ecstasy I had just delivered to him. I wanted to feel Theo.
There was a pause. "Wait," he replied, his voice losing its predatory edge and replacing it with something akin to caution. "You're new to this, Blake. You’ve never been in a place like the Underworld before. Maybe we should keep it moderate and call it a night."
A surge of white-hot irritation flared in my chest. The caution in his voice felt like a condescending pat on the head, a dismissal of my capacity for endurance. But more than that, his hesitation felt like a betrayal. In my mind, he wasn't just some stranger in a warehouse; he was the only tether I had to a dead man. By suggesting we play it safe, he was denying me what I had shared with Theo.
"I said I can handle it!" I snarled, the sound jarringly raw in the sterile silence of the stall. The frustration of months of mourning, the suffocating pressure of my own fame, and the desperate need for this stranger to be more than a phantom collided in my chest.
He didn't respond with words this time. Instead, he let out a low, decisive breath that sounded like a challenge accepted. The first strike was a sudden, blinding shock—a focused, heavy blow that caught my balls squarely. I gasped, my spine arching violently as a wave of white-hot agony surged from my groin straight up to my skull. It wasn't the playful tapping of before; this was a concentrated, punishing force that felt like a physical blow to my very soul. My legs buckled slightly, and I had to claw at the metal partition to keep from collapsing.
The pain was an all-consuming fire, a jagged spike of intensity that left me breathless. But beneath the agony, there was a strange, addictive clarity. As he continued, the strikes became a rhythmic, merciless onslaught. He found the exact angle to maximize the impact, hammering into the heavy weight of my scrotum. With every hit, my vision blurred at the edges, the world narrowing down to the singular, throbbing point of contact between my body and his hand. I could feel my testicles swelling, engorging under the trauma, becoming two heavy.
The pain shifted from a sharp, repeated assault to something more sinister. A slow, crushing pressure that didn't let go. He hadn't just struck me; he had gripped. Through the opening of the glory hole, his hand had clamped around the base of my scrotum with a terrifying, industrial strength. I felt the air leave my lungs as he began to apply a steady, agonizing squeeze, a gradual compression that felt as though he were attempting to fuse my testicles into a single, dense mass of agony. It was a slow-motion erasure of my anatomy, a systematic crushing meant to end my blood line. Every millimeter of his tightening grip felt like a nail being driven into my nerves, a deliberate, agonizing process of reducing my manhood to a crushed, pulpy ruin.
As the crushing force reached its peak, a guttural scream tore from my throat, echoing off the sterile white tiles of the stall. My body shook with a violent, uncontrollable tremor, my forehead pressing hard against the cold metal of the partition. In the final moments, it felt as if my own masculinity had finally been severed, completely castrated, stripped of everything that made me a man.
I shot my load with a force that felt like a dying gasp, a desperate eruption of seed that splattered. In the blinding haze of the climax, I imagined I could see fragments of myself, my nut pulp spurting out with my baby batter. I don't think I've ever came like that before. It felt like my dick knew it was the last chance to ever sow my seed and wanted to go out with a "BANG!"
I hung there, panting, my forehead still pressed against the cold green metal. The aftermath of that climax was a deafening roar in my ears, a visceral emptying that left me feeling hollow and raw. I waited for the punchline, for the praise, for some low-frequency rumble of approval that would validate the sheer violence of what we had just shared. I wanted him to tell me I was a champion, or perhaps just to acknowledge the messy, desperate spray of my surrender against the partition. I braced myself for a compliment, something to bridge the gap between the agony and the ecstasy.
But the silence that followed was absolute. The only sound was the distant, muffled throb of the warehouse bass and the drip of my own release hitting the floor. Seconds stretched into an eternity. My heart, which had been racing in a fever pitch, began to slow into a simmering, indignant heat.
The irritation flared up, sharp and sudden. I felt small, exposed, and discarded. I shifted my weight, the skin of my scrotum still pulsing with a bruised, heavy heat, and opened my mouth to snap at him. I wanted to demand why he didn't say a word, that the silence was an insult to the level of intensity I had just endured. I was ready to tear down the wall, to drag him out of his anonymity and demand to know why he was playing with my head. I wanted to scream into the void of the partition, to demand a shred of acknowledgment.
I opened my mouth, the words "Who the hell do you think—" already forming on my tongue, ready to be spat out with all the bitterness of a man who had just been broken open.
"Who is Theo?"
The question instantly quelled my rage. I froze, my mouth still slightly agape. It wasn't asked with curiosity or kindness but an observation made by someone who just noticed a pattern.
"I..." My mind raced, trying to find a lie, a deflection but my tongue turned to lead. There was no music here, only the cold reality of a grieving man sharing an intimate moment with a stranger he has never seen.
"You called me Theo while you came," he said quietly. I hung my head in defeat. I am a song writer but there are no words to describe what I felt. "I could feel it in the way you clung to the wall. I remembered what you said at the gym. I thought you were just horny at first, then desperate but now I understand. Grief. Is this why you tried so hard to meet me? Because you're chasing a ghost in a body that looks like mine?"
Silence. For a moment, I considered denying it, pretending it was a momentary lapse or a generic name of passion. Although the circumstances to what led me here was was a lie, the honesty of emotions of the encounter—the brutal, carnal exchange of pain and pleasure we had just shared—made a lie feel like a sacrilege. I leaned my forehead back against the metal, closing my eyes.
My face was flushed with embarrassment. My head was pounding and a wave of nausea surged from within me. I felt the world spinning, the tiles of the stall swirling and blurring together.
"It's time to go, Blake," the voice said, now stripped of its predatory edge. He sounded more concerned. The adrenaline was leaving me and all I felt was exhaustion and despair. I didn't have the strength to move, to dress, or to face the noise of the warehouse again. I felt as though my spirit had been crushed right along with my anatomy.
The sharp click of the latch shattered the silence.
Before I could even process what was happening, the door to Stall 7 burst open, the metal slamming against the partition with a harsh, industrial clang. I blinked, squinting as brighter light spilled into the cramped space. My vision was still blurred, reducing him to little more than a hazy silhouette.
I barely registered his hands as he hurriedly dressed me with the efficient impatience of a parent getting a child ready in a rush. Before I could protest, he slipped one arm beneath my knees and the other behind my back, lifting me effortlessly into his arms and carried me out of the "Bathroom."
Instead of heading toward the main entrance, however, he turned into the side corridor. It was nothing like the deserted passage I saw earlier. Although still dark, the once-empty hallway had become a torrent of bodies surging down the hallway toward the glowing EXIT sign. At the very end of the corridor was an illuminated doorway, the shining light at the end of a tunnel. Our bodies jostled and collided into others as merged with and followed the tide of people.
I couldn't resist. Even as darkness threatened to pull me under, I turned my head as we neared the end of the corridor. The light spilling in through the exit was faint, but it was enough. For the first time, there was no frosted glass between us, no distance across a gym floor. For the first time I saw the soft glow outlining his face with unmistakable clarity. The sharp line of his jaw, the intensity of his eyes, and that same effortless air of command that surrounded Theo. It was him. It was the last thing I saw before the world fade to black.
I watched the new on TV as I sat in the hospital bed. The news anchor's voice was grating but I had to see it with my own eyes. On the screen was a grainy aerial shot of the warehouse. Plumes of black smoke billowed from the roof of the Underworld as firefighters were fighting a losing battle to quench the flames. The reporter mentioned "poorly maintained circuitry" and "gross negligence in electrical wiring." Despite this, all I could remember was the green metal partition with the thick cock in the glory hole and the ecstasy and pain from the ball busting.
It turned out my panic attack hadn't been a panic attack at all but carbon monoxide poisoning. I must have inhaled far more of the toxic gas than the average clubgoer. The fire had started near the "Bathroom," and I'd been breathing hard throughout the ball-busting session, drawing more of the toxic gas into my lungs.
The doctor assured me I would make a full recovery.
He was referring to both the carbon monoxide poisoning and the considerable damage to my groin.
The hospital room was a world away from the Underworld. Its sterile white walls and quiet halls were the complete opposite of the dark, chaotic place I had left behind.
As I lay there, I replayed the events of that night over and over in my mind. More than anything, I kept thinking about him. He wasn't Theo. I knew that.
And yet, for a few precious hours, he had given me something I thought I had lost forever: the chance to feel close to Theo again, even if only for a moment.
I was writing and rewriting my songs endlessly but I wasn't listening to them. I can't just write about my ballads, I need to live it. Love was not something meant to be written about but something to be felt. It was something to experience, to lose, and to carry with you afterward.
"As for the ball busting..." I smirked at the thought. I think I will carry it on my journey with me as well.
